Itinerary

The dates of our workshop are timed for some of the best photographic conditions of the most beautiful season – Patagonia Autumn. Beautiful red colors frame mountains in april, fresh snow lays  between the waterfalls and on tops of diamond peaks. 

​

Day 1: Welcome you at Buenos Aries International Airport (EZE), Transfer to Buenos Aires downtown. Check in our hotel. Group dinner at a local restaurant.  Group meeting in the evening: Intros & Workshop Overview.

Day 2.  Breakfast at the hotel. From Buenos Aires (AEP - Aeroparque Jorge Newbery airport), fly to El Calafate (FTE). Chick in our hotel. Dinner at local restaurant. 

​

Day 3.  Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer (private passenger van, 10-12 seats) to Torres del Paine, Chile (cross border). Check in our Hotel.  Sunset Photoshoot at Torres del Paine National Park. Dinner at the hotel.

 

Day 4-6  to explore many beautiful diverse location inside and outside of the Torres del Paine National Park.  including (not limited) Harbours of Pehoe lake, Mirador Condor, Lake Pehoe, Paine Towers, the Nordenskjold lake, the dead forest, plenty of small bays, Salto Grande waterfall . The exact itinerary will be kept flexible to account for the weather and current conditions. We will optimize our time for the best possible photography. 

Breakfast and dinner at the hotel. 

Optional: depends on the local weather conditions (wind and temperature), at one night, trekking to the Base of the Towers to take photos at sunrise. Hiking difficulty level: high.

Day 7.  Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to El Chalten, Argentina (cross border).  Check in our Hotel and Prepare photography equipment and personal necessary articles for the next 5 day’s hiking and camping activities.  Dinner at a local restaurant.

 

Day 8  Breakfast at the hotel. Gather all personal belongings, transfer the bags to our porters (one porter for each participant). We will hike deep into Glacial National Park to camp for 3 nights to explore and photograph the majestic landscapes of the Fitz Roy.  

Hiking around 10 KM. Difficulty level: mild to moderate.  Dinner at the campground (prepared by our hired local chef ).  Photo shoot at sunset  around campsite, the Fitz Roy as background.

Day 9 – 10  Photo shoot at Sunrise and Sunset,  the Fitz Roy as backgrund. we have lot different secret shooting locations. Breakfast (or lunch) and dinner at the campground.  Optional: depends on the local weather conditions (wind and temperature), at one night, trekking to the Base of the Fitz Roy to take photos at sunrise. Hiking ddifficulty level: high.

Day 11  Photo shoot in the morning.  Breakfast at the campground.  Gather the personal belongings, transfer the bags to our porters.  

Hiking with the tour guide, to Agostini campground, 8 – 10 KM. Difficulty level: mild to moderate.  Photo shoot along the hiking trail.  Dinner at the campground.  Photo shoot at sunset, the the Cerro Torre as background and lakes.

Day 12  Sunrise photo shooting.  Breakfast (or lunch) at the campground.  Photo shoot around the lakes and rivers during the day. Dinner at the campground.  Sunset photo shooting.

Day 13  Sunrise photo shooting.  Breakfast at the campground.  Gather the personal belongings, transfer the bags to our porters.  Hiking with the tour guide, to El Chalten, 8 -10 KM. Difficulty level: mild to moderate.  Check in our Hotel.  Dinner in the town.

Day 14   Sunrise photo shooting at a secret spot outside of the town, which is at canyon with stunning panoramic views towards Andean ridge. The Fitz Roy river flowing in bends beneath our feet leading the sight towards towers of Fitz Roy (Chalten) massif. 

Breakfast at the hotel.  Transfer to Town of El Calafate.  Check in our hotel.  Transfer to the Perito Moreno glacier park, Take photos at the park.  Drive back to the hotel in El Calafate.  Group dinner for the local food in the town.

Day 15   Breakfast at the hotel.  Transfer to the El Calafate Airport (FTE) in the morning.  Take your return flight to home, or travel to other destination.

 

After our workshop end, you may arrange a couple of days to stay Buenos Aires for sightseeing. Or  you may fly to Iguazu Falls for a few days.

 

We may offer help to arrange hotel and travel plans.

***When we get home, we will set up 2-4 zoom class schedules to have Photo critique and Post-Processing Inspiration and Instruction in zoom class.
